T3W7 | Marketing Cat-Soph-a-licious

Hey hey :)
This is my homework I did in Week 7, It had to be on,  if you were to market yourself What would your packaging look like? What would your catchy product title be? What would it say on the box?
Think about the types of packaging you have seen on other products. Think about colour, slogans etc
And me and my friends Sophia decided to do our homework together :) I came up with the name Cat-Soph-a-licious!! We worked really hard and attempted to make it real but homework was due on FRIDAY but we decided to do it on THURSDAY so we just canned it and maybe we could do it next time! I had lots of fun and it would be awesome to do homework like that again :)

Did You Ever Poem

CLICK PLAY BEFORE YOU READ IT!
In class we have been learning how to write a 'Did You Ever' Poem! I found it quite easy because it only can have 2 words in a paragraph!
The start, starts with the question Did/Have You Ever
Your question
Subject | Verb x3
Then an ending question!
Simple as that! I literally could make hundreds of these! I could make them for a living!!!
Hope you liked it :)

T3W5 | NZ Longfin Eel

This is my other homework for this week! I tried to find something unique that nobody in class would choose the same thing as me! It was really hard trying to find information because maybe Longfin Eels aren't that popular on the web? I animated it cause it's also a new I learnt! But anyways, ENJOY!
If you want to see my other homework first on Sea Otters then the link is down below

T3W5 | Sea Otters

For this weeks homework I had to research about a marine sea creature and I choose 2 sea otter & NZ Longfin Eel but this post is the sea otter! I choose this creature because I was just surfing the web and I came across a website and it had all the cute and furry friends :) The sea otter had caught my eye and I decided to do it on sea otters! It was actually quite easy because we have done this homework before and I have definitely improved
I hope I didn't bore the life out of you!

Marshmallow Maths

A few weeks ago Room 20 were learning about Mass, Temperature & Volume but with a twist! We did it with marshmallows! We had experimented everything!
Mass = How heavy something is
Temperature = How long would it take for a marshmallow to melt in boiled water
Volume= How much can a container hold?
Everyone had to choose between Mass, Temperature & Volume to make a presentation! Our group choose Mass. And this is our final evidence....
I beleive that you should have fun with maths every once in a while! Trust me it's soo fun!
In the end our teacher put everything together into 1 slideshow! CLick down below to have a look at that!

Maths Olympiad | 2013

On the 28 of August it was the day Room 20 had all been waiting for...
It was the YEAR MATHS OLYMPIAD! It is like a reply race but maths kind.  Every class has 2 teams made up of 4 people. We all get 30 minutes to solve 20 questions.. And trust me they were hard. Our 2 teams had tackled all the maths we could possibly have and practised and practised hard! We even learnt the meanings of words like withdraw, overdraft, deposit.  Let me introduce you to the teams...There were:
Team 1 : Anahita, Lee, Hubert, Zhaoyu
My Team: Charlie, Me, Maddi & Louis

Our team wasn't the strongest but we didn't care, we ignored everyone even if we were getting beaten. We were the only ones with EVERYONE co-operation throughout the WHOLE half an hour as far as I saw... The first question was really easy but then on question 2 it got REALLY hard! I think that the teachers were being mean!  Time had passed quick we were still on our second question, at the time our team was just about to give up but then we went up to check the answer.. Guess what?! WE GOT IT! We were the 1 in 2 teams who had got it! That encouraged us to push ourselves. At one point our team was all in different directions! TIME IS UP! Although we didn't win and get our names engraved on the trophy we were sooo proud of ourselves I know Mrs Graham and Room 20 were too! And big shout out to Room 20 for cheering  and supporting us from the start :)

It was an amazing experience I enjoyed it alot it made me improve my co-operation skills, sharing each others ideas, not to shout at each other! I'd hope to do it again sometime :)
